A peek at what I’ve been up to

Background

From gerontology to UX/UI

For as long as I can remember, I’ve been drawn to two things: design and understanding people.

For the past seven years, I worked as a Technical Director in nursing homes and day centres, a field I truly love, where I gained hands-on insight into human behaviour, people’s needs and real-world problem solving. Over time, I realised I missed the creative side, so I specialised in UX/UI design and found my missing half.

My experience in gerontology trained me to listen deeply, observe carefully, focus on what truly matters and pay close attention to detail, always designing with real human needs in mind. These are traits I carry into my portfolio through research, decisions and outcomes.

Deep listening I start with people, their stories and their real context.
Human behaviour insight I translate needs, behaviours and motivations into design decisions.
Structured thinking I turn complexity into clearer, more useful experiences.
